The year is 1984

In 1984, Frankie Goes To Hollywood was topping the charts. Madonna delivered her controversial performance of "Like A Virgin" on the first-ever MTV Video Music Awards. But the most significant event to happen in music that year was the formation of Miss J and the AM.

For the past 38 years  Jenffer A. Jay has brought her visions to life. Miss J and the AM are a Josie and the Pussycats with a purely Canadian identity; while young girls dreamed of being Jem and the Holograms, Jenffer was dreaming up a world of her own.

Jenffer's body of work is perhaps the most extensive and long-lasting in the independent comics community. More importantly, Jenffer's work springs forth from pure unbridled creativity - in Jenffer's wonderful mind there are no limits. It is a true example of art as the medium through which the artist explores herself; indeed, Jenffer's work is a manifestation of her journey of self-discovery, one of freedom and sexual liberation.
